Marissa Magro, M.S.Ed, CCC-SLP

I’m a licensed, certified pediatric speech-language pathologist (SLP) with six+ years of experience helping children communicate. My clinical specialties include AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), speech sound disorders, and neurodiversity-affirming practices for supporting autistic children. I believe therapy should be play-based, research-driven, and individualized to meet your child and family’s needs/goals!
My favorite thing about being an SLP: watching a child learn to connect with the world around them through communication that is meaningful and works for them. Whether that’s spoken words, signs, gestures, or AAC, I’m in it for the long haul and committed to finding the tools and strategies that help your child thrive.

Magro Speech Therapy was created to fill a gap in our community. A gap where children weren’t receiving the services they needed and deserved. But I knew I was meant to do more than just fill a gap. I wanted to create something different: a practice that empowers parents, embraces neurodiversity, and delivers therapy that is both evidence-based and deeply meaningful.
MST has grown into the greater Olean area’s only private pediatric speech therapy clinic. We’re proud to keep expanding, not only through therapy services but also through community events, advocacy work, and creating resources that support families beyond the therapy room.

I’m a mom of two energetic boys, a wife, a daughter, and a lover of strong coffee and community. At the very core of Magro Speech Therapy is a simple value: to provide the same quality of services we would want for our own children.

My favorite thing about being an SLP: Celebrating the small wins that make a big difference. I love watching a child’s world open up as their communication grows, especially when families start seeing those changes in everyday moments.

Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my nieces and being part of their growth. At home, you’ll usually find me with my husband and our little crew of pets: Noodle the dog, Gnocchi the cat, Baked Ziti the hamster, and Azirel the fish. I also own a small book company, which feeds my love for stories and creativity.

Your first session is known as the “initial evaluation.” This is a 45-60 minute appointment where we'll take the time to learn and understand your child's unique strengths and areas for growth. Through clinical assessments, we'll gain insight to create a success plan and goals tailored to your child’s individual needs and abilities.

Here’s where the real fun begins! Your child attends recurring speech therapy sessions tailored to their specific needs and your family’s schedule.
