Our Mission

We aspire to create inclusive spaces for children of all abilities in order to provide children with disabilities and special needs the opportunity to feel true belonging and acceptance. We strive to provide advocacy and education to help our community become stronger, more compassionate, and more inclusive for all!

Student Involvement

Magro Speech Therapy works in collaboration with St. Bonaventure School of Business (and other incredible departments/clubs) to bring you this incredible event! Our goal is to provide your child and family with an awesome experience, all while engaging college students in real-life learning opportunities.

Through their participation in planning for and participating in this event, students gain valuable insights into the needs and strengths of people with disabilities, fostering empathy and understanding. This collaboration aims to create a more inclusive community, empowering future professionals and leaders to advocate for accessibility, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of society.

Magro Speech Therapy is proud to partner with community members and local businesses to create this inclusive event. Our sponsors work to provide a fun, safe, and accessible experience for all families while fostering a sense of unity and support.

By sponsoring or hosting tables, community members play a crucial role in building an environment where every child feels valued and celebrated. Together, we strive to make our community more inclusive, demonstrating the power of collaboration and kindness in creating meaningful, joyful experiences for everyone.

FAQs

Answers to our most frequently asked questions!

  • Your child/children, and any family members or friends that join, will be invited to join us at St. Bonaventure to walk around the Richter Center and collect eggs filled with treats, play games, and participate in fun, inclusive, accessible activities!

You can expect a sensory-friendly environment, ability to move around freely and come-and-go as you please, and a no-judgement zone where you can be with your people!

You can also expect an accessible environment for people of all physical abilities.

  • Creating a space and event that is tailored to children with special needs requires a very thoughtful approach that prioritizes ACCESSIBILITY, COMFORT, SECURITY, and ENJOYMENT for all children.

Some of these factors we have considered are noise level, crowd size, physical limitations/barriers, consideration of the treats provided and activities offered.

Opening the event to the public could infringe on some of these considerations making it less accessible or accommodating for those with special needs or disabilities.

  • YES!!!! Please invite your child's friends and family to join (make sure you register them as well)!
